Troubleshooting
Signing in
My authenticator code is rejected. Codes change every 30 seconds and depend on your phone’s clock. If your phone’s time is even a little wrong, codes can fail. Set your phone to set its date and time automatically, then try a fresh code. Make sure you are using the entry for your Adversary X account in your authenticator app.
I have lost my phone or my authenticator app. Sign in with one of the backup codes you were given when you set up the authenticator app, then set up the app again. If you have no backup codes left, email support@adversary-x.com from the address on your account. See Set up two-step verification.
I keep being sent to “Set up two-step verification”. Two-step verification is not on for your account yet. Add an authenticator app under Security on that screen, then select I’ve set it up, continue. A passkey alone is not enough. See Set up two-step verification.
I see “Your account is being set up”. Your plan has not been applied yet. We will email you when it is ready. If you have been waiting a while, email support@adversary-x.com.
I cannot find my invitation, or the link does not work. Email support@adversary-x.com and ask for a new invitation.
Being signed out
I was signed out and saw “You were signed out after a period of inactivity”. There were no clicks, taps, key presses or scrolling for 30 minutes. Sign in again. If you were in an exercise, begin an exercise again and choose Resume when asked to carry on. See Devices and sessions.
I was signed out without that message. Your session can end for other security reasons. The Terms of Service set out the session limits that apply. Sign in again. If it keeps happening and you do not know why, check Recent sign-in history in Settings, Security and contact us.
Exercises
I cannot see Crisis, Third-Party Resilience or Real World Attacks. These are Pro and Enterprise features. Third-party resilience also needs your region set to the United Kingdom, European Union, Australia or United Arab Emirates. See Your plan and Choose your region.
The first round did not load. Select Retry. If you see “Could not start the exercise”, select Back to selection and start again.
I see “Resume your exercise?” when I start a new one. You have an exercise in progress. Select Resume to continue it, or Start fresh to abandon it and start the new one.
My debrief did not generate. On “Couldn’t generate the debrief”, select Retry.
The debrief says “Not saved to your exercise history”. Download the PDF report before you leave the page, then email us the message shown.
Reports
The PDF button in my history is greyed out. That exercise has no debrief, so there is no report to build.
The board pack says there are no exercises in this period. Choose a different Reporting period.
