Devices and sessions

Adversary X signs you out automatically when you are inactive. This protects your account if you leave a browser open.

Inactivity sign-out

If you do not click, tap, type or scroll for 30 minutes, you are signed out. Moving the mouse on its own does not count as activity.

  • A Still there? message appears 60 seconds before. It counts down the seconds left.
  • Select Stay signed in, or click, tap, type or scroll anywhere on the page, to carry on.
  • Activity in any Adversary X tab in the same browser counts for all your tabs.
  • This applies on every page while you are signed in, including during an exercise.

After you are signed out, the sign-in page shows: “You were signed out after a period of inactivity. Please sign in again.”

Reading a long situation report without touching the page still counts as inactive. Your exercise is saved after every round, so if you are signed out you can sign in again and resume. See Playing rounds.

Other session limits

Your session can also end for other security reasons. The Terms of Service  set out the session limits that apply. If you are signed out, sign in again.

Sign out

You can select Sign out from:

  • the bottom of the Select a scenario screen
  • the Settings sidebar, below the tabs

See and end your sessions

  1. Go to Settings, then Security.
  2. Active sessions lists the devices signed in to your account, with browser, device type, approximate location and when each was last active. Your own is marked Current.
  3. If other sessions are listed, select Sign out other sessions.

Recent sign-in history on the same tab shows your latest sign-ins. If you see one you do not recognise, sign out other sessions, change your password and email support@adversary-x.com.
